“Travelling so far for language lessons has been an incredible life-changing experience. Every moment was worth an entire lifetime. The people here I have met will be part of me forever. I was so blessed to have my first week with Joe and our teacher Olga. I learned much more about other cultures and myself. My time in class with Alla challenged me to really hear the language and I’m so amazed at how much progress I made in just four weeks! All of the students and teachers I hope to see again! I will think of this summer forever.”

“Thank you for a good time at Odessa Language Center. I enjoyed very much my teacher Tatjana and our “talking away” lessons. She taught me about Odessa and Ukraine live, history, passion and proud! It was a great pleasure to participate a little bit in Ukrainian live! Special thanks also to Anastasia who was a big help organizing museum visits and finding out places to go and things to do. All the best to you and Viva!”

“I want to thank everyone in Odessa and at the school for making our experience here so rewarding and enjoyable. I wish all the best to everyone at the school and I hope that I have the privilege of working with you or people like you in the future.”

If you would like to learn russian, the OLSC is a good choice.
I took two times two weeks lessons and I must say, I enjoyed it.
The teachers work conform a clear schedule so progress can be measured.
And progress I made!
I had a basic knowledge of the language, now I feel much more comfortably
speaking russian. Next to that, the staff of the school took care of finding
an apartment and informed me about the possibilities for leisure time
that Odessa has to offer. Odessa is an attractive town to live in and
not only in summer.
To say it short: a good school in an attractive town and: for an acceptable
price.
I am planning to attend again two weeks and I am looking
forward for it!

For those who want to learn russian but fear cold weather,
Odessa is the place to be!
I chose Odessa for its mild winters and quietness.
The city, situated on the edges of the Black Sea, is opened to Europe
and Turkey and its atmosphere is unique. Everybody speaks russian in this
part of Ukraine.
The school is located near a park, along the sea, not far from the centre.
The teachers are able to make you speak russian from the very beginning,
even if you are beginners.
The staff, very friendly, makes students feel comfortable and is always
able to give information, advice and help if necessary. They all speak
fluently english too.
Students have the opportunity to talk to the teachers very often, even
during the pause, indeed, the number of students in a class is low.
I really kept a good impression of this school, now I have the feeling
that russian is much more approachable and I can advise it to everybody.

Being a student at OLSC enabled me to expand my knowledge
of the Russian language while also enjoying the atmosphere of Ukraine.
The school is comfortably located 10 minutes from the beach and downtown
Odessa, making travel around the city easy and enjoyable. The combination
of study and experience that I gained while studying in Ukraine will stay
with me for many years to come.

Dear Odessa Language Study Centre,
I had a fantastic experience studying Russian at Odessa Language Study
Centre. I'm a businessman and am planning to do business in Russia and
Ukraine, so I came here to learn Russian. I chose Odessa because it is
a beautiful historic city that contains a unique mixture of cultures due
to its seaside location. It is very inexpensive and a little off the beaten
track for most Western tourists (hence more interesting), but still features
great sites, activities, accommodation and many interesting restaurants
and bars.
The teachers at Odessa Language Study Centre are outstanding. They are
highly trained professionals and native Russian speakers. They adjust
their teaching methods and pace to your own goals, so you get a truly
individualized learning experience. For me this meant setting challenging
learning goals but also having some fun along the way. The classes are
very small or one-on-one, so you get plenty of attention. The school itself
ahs modern interior and is located in a beautiful historic building close
to the centre of town and across from a large park.
There are two other things that made this a great experience. First, the
staff at the school is very helpful. They assisted me with many aspects
of my stay in Odessa, including my Ukrainian visa, accommodations, city
tours, taxi prices, study aids, and other information about Odessa. Second,
the other students at the school created a great sense of community. As
a true beginner, it was very helpful and encouraging for me to speak with
other students (both in English and in Russian) about their experiences
learning Russian and recommendations for how to make quick progress. There
is no substitute for learning Russian where it is spoken every day and
you have plenty of opportunities for practice. I plan to return here in
spring and continue my lessons - and I would recommend Odessa Language
Study Centre for anyone who is interested in learning Russian!
Warm Regards,

“Thank you so much for a wonderful time studying a wonderful language. Natalya, may God bless you for making all the lessons so enjoyable and memorable. I never thought learning grammar could be so much fun. All in all, I feel I have learned a lot in my time here at the school, my Russian has very much improved and I am going home with much better Russian than I came with and that’s what it was all about. Everybody here at the school has always been friendly and I will definitely recommend this school to my friends back in England. Спасибо вам за все . God bless you all and до свидания !”
Josette McKay ( Bristol, England)
“After a year of studying Russian, my speaking and comprehension skills were mediocre at best. Having only taken 9 days of classes at OLSC I can honestly say that I’ve improved my understanding of the language through constant repititions, plus classroom training as well as living in Odessa more than I have with a year of college level Russian. I would recommend this school to anyone who is serious about learning Russian regardless of their current knowledge of the language.”
